The Diabetes Clinical Research Medical Science Team primary mission is generation and dissemination of clinical evidence on the safety, efficacy and value of Medtronic Diabetes medical devices within Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

As a member of this team, the candidate will manage the External Research Projects (ERP) in the EMEA region and provide scientific and clinical input across our product lifecycle, e.g. evidence needs assessment, advisory boards and educational- and promotional materials.

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

+ Coordinatethe Diabetes External Research Projects (ERP) in EMEA to ensure that requestsfor the support of external investigator-initiated research projects are assessed and executed in accordance with Medtronics strategy and applicable policies, laws and regulations.

+ Prepare the legal agreements with internal- and external stakeholders, monitor study progress, deliverables, supply logistics and payment and management.

+ Interpret clinical research data and literature and prepare clinical summaries for internal communication/training to address the Clinical Research-, Health Economics-, Education-, Marketing- and Sales team needs.

+ Contribute to educational scientific content for external workshops, congress symposia and educational events.

+ Review promotional material, based on substantial data and/or literature evidences.

**Must Haves**

+ Bachelor or University degree in sciences e.g. life sciences, medicine, medical biology, or other applicable disciplines.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office software

+ Strong team player and mature personality that works inclusively and effectively in cross-functional teams in a multicultural international environment.

+ Analytical skills and capability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex scientific information

+ Ability to communicate effectively and articulately with Key Opinion Leaders in Medicine and Clinical Research.

+ Problem solving mindset, pro-active attitude and capable to work with minimal supervision.

+ Excellent organizational and managerial skills with attention to detail

**Nice Haves**

+ Experience in the pharmaceutical- or medical device industry and/or conducting clinical research is of advantage.
