Electrical Hardware Engineering
position supports the RD Robotics team in the design and development of
innovative new products within surgical platforms. The role involves the
application of Electrical design engineering principles, technical skills, team
work and creative problem solving to design and deliver high quality innovative
medical devices intended to improve patient outcomes and the quality of life
for millions of people.

**A Day in the Life**

+ Be a part of a multidisciplinaryteam (Electrical and Mechanical engineers) that is responsible for developingsurgical platforms.

+ Designing surgicalinstruments and surgical platforms according to specification and regulationrequirements. From proof of concept to production line implementation.

+ Be the owner of theelectrical design of a complex multidisciplinary robotic surgical system.Support design changes, malfunction debugging and improvemnets.

+ Be a source ofknowledge on the system electrical design.

+ Interfaces with outsidevendors for component selection, PCB layout and manufacturing.

+ Lead technicalInvestigations.

+ Write technical documentations.

+ Support production lineescalations.

+ Work closely with SystemEngineering, Mechanical Engineering, RA\QA, Procurement and NPI Engineers.

**Must Have**

+ Bachelors Degree in ElectricalEngineering or equivalent,with at least 2 years of experiencein a similar role.

+ Experience with PCBdesign.

+ Experience withelectrical components selection such as: motors, power delivery components,sensors and LCD screens.

+ Experience designingwiring and cabling.

+ Self-learningcapabilities, capable of working with minimal supervision and guidance.

+ Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.

+ Highly organized.

+ Strong initiative.

+ Excellent problem-solvingskills.

+ Team player withability to work on your own.

+ Passionatehands on approach.

+ Able to effectivelywork with cross functional teams in a multinational matrix organization.

**Nice to Have**

+ Medical device design experience isadvantage.

+ Experience designingand working with electrical motors (Stepper and DC) and motor drivers.

+ Knowledge of Medical-electricalstandards IEC60601-1 IEC60601-1-2.

+ Experience with CAN(controller area network) communication hardware.

+ Knowledge on PCBmanufacturing and assembly line requirements.

+ Knowledge onEngineering Change management processes and PLM tools such as PTC Windchill.

+ Good understanding ofmedical device standards, guidelines and regulations.
