The Plant Mechanic will maintain and operate mechanical and building
systems to world-class standards. This individual will help identify, plan, and
prioritize maintenance tasks and projects specific to facility and customer
requirements. He/ She will be responsible for and routinely
performs preventative, predictive, corrective and emergency maintenance.
Scopes out work problem recognition and resolution processes. Must thoroughly
learn all operations and be available to assist others with the efficient
operation of the facility. Works in team environment to achieve long range
objectives and support service integration processes at multiple sites as
assigned. Responsible for completion of tasks associated with daily
operations

**A Day in the Life**


Embraces **teamwork** , but also works
independently. Must be able to thrive in a team environment by supporting
and ensuring completion of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly maintenance
schedules. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely
with other team members.


+ Ensures operation of machinery andmechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements onengines, motors, tools, and production machines; following diagrams,sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineeringspecifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

+ Removes defective parts by dismantlingdevices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examinescondition of parts and equipment.

+ Controls downtime by informing productionworkers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitorscompliance.

+ Fabricates repair parts by using machineshop instrumentation and equipment.

+ Maintains equipment, parts, and suppliesinventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.Anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies.

+ Diagnoses electrical andmechanical faults for HVACsystems. Cleans, adjusts and repairssystems, and performs preventive maintenance services.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience


**Nice to Have**


Two-year trade school certificate


First Class C Boiler license


EPA refrigeration universal certification


Experience with statistical process control


Experience with computer software (word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail)


Self-managed performance


Understanding blueprints / documents


Team player able to work with multifaceted team


Experience with computer software: Honeywell building automation systems, Microsoft Office, CMMS MP2
