The **Principal Health Economics, Policy and Reimbursement (HEPR) Analyst** will support the day to day Health Economics and reimbursement strategies and needs for Respiratory Interventions products and therapies. The Principal HEPR Analyst has experience with designing compelling economic and clinical value propositions, application of economic principles and modeling, government reimbursement policies and third-party reimbursement. The role contributes regularly to the development and distribution of materials and information to educate internal and external customers on key economic and reimbursement applications specific to the Respiratory Interventions portfolio (ventilators, tracheostomy tubes, laryngoscopes, etc.) to internal and external customers.

**A Day In The Life Position Responsibilities**

+ Support development and execution of economic and reimbursement strategies throughout the product lifecycle for the Respiratory Interventions portfolio of products. (May include global/ regional tactical and strategic support).

+ Develop and implement tools and processes to clearly communicate economic value of products and procedures to key internal and external customers, including how reimbursement and economic considerations affect business plans and strategies in operating unit.

+ Serve as technical expert in government/private reimbursement policies and a source for reimbursement information for internal (marketing, sales, clinical affairs) and external (clinicians, payers, trade associations) customers.

+ Assist in study design and results evaluation to enhance capabilities in evidence generation in quantifying economic value and improving reimbursement landscape.

+ Support cross-functional teams (clinical/medical, outcomes research, regulatory, marketing, legal) to produce objective and evidence-based value propositions and value dossiers for key initiatives of interest.

+ Inform the organization and educate other key stakeholders on the impact of key health policy and macroeconomic changes.

+ Support business development, strategic acquisitions, and upstream opportunity reviews through economic and reimbursement landscape analyses.

**Must Have; Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors Degreein Health Economics, health sciences, business administration, health policy, hospital administration, public administration, health services research, or a related field

+ Minimum seven (7) years of healthcare work experience in health economics, reimbursement, market access for a medical technology/device company, health care consulting firm, insurance company, or healthcare delivery system including, physicians office and hospitals.

+ ORMinimum 5 (5) years of healthcare work experience in health economics, reimbursement, market access for a medical technology/device company, health care consulting firm, insurance company, or healthcare delivery system including, physicians office and hospitals and an advanced degree.

**Nice To Have**

+ Advanced degree (e.g., Masters) preferred.

+ Experience with medical device lines (diagnostics/therapeutics/monitoring) in a business / industry setting

+ Demonstrated (foundational to intermediate level) knowledge and understanding of health technology assessment and economic modeling (e.g., cost effectiveness analysis) principles.

+ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of U.S. healthcare reimbursement mechanisms and regulations related to reimbursement for medical technology products.

+ Experience designing economic studies using Big Data / retrospective databases (e.g. CMS, HCUP, Premier) and/or outcomes / health services research methods

+ Experience of helping design clinical studies to generate economic data.

+ Experience working with clinical and/or payer stakeholders to achieve business goals (e.g., publications, coding submissions, etc.)

+ Proven work experience in providing coding, coverage, and payment advice in a healthcare setting.

+ Proven experience of designing economic and/or clinical value proposition for a product.

+ Able to make recommendations and implement process improvement opportunities.

+ Able to work independently, cross functionally and as part of a team to problem solve and seek advice when necessary performing work with limited oversight and supervision.

+ Able to manage multiple tasks with high degree of organization-prioritization skill and attention to detail and accuracy.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong computer skills, particularly Excel (e.g., for basic economic models), PowerPoint (effective story telling / persuasion), and other software (e.g., TreeAge for advanced modelling).

+ Comfortable with ambiguity and change in business direction

+ Strong analytical skills

+ Project management experience

+ Experience of managing vendors and consultants to achieve business goals

+ Experience with health technology assessment agencies (e.g., ECRI, ICER, NICE), governmental bodies (e.g., CMS, state-level Medicaid programs), and/or international organizations (e.g., WHO)

+ Foundational knowledge of- and/or experience with quality measures (e.g., CMS, NQF, leapfrog) and life cycle.

+ Foundation experience and/or knowledge of US coding mechanisms, life cycle, and submissions for coding requests (e.g., AMA, CMS)

+ Foundational knowledge of- and/or experience with - OUS healthcare systems (e.g., EU5, Australia, Canada, China)
