Help expand patient access to innovative, life-saving therapies. We are hiring a Principal Medical Education Specialistwho will plan, design, develop, and oversee educational curriculum, content, and programs promoting procedural excellence in Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI). In this role, you will lead observational training courses at hospitals and labs, dinner programs, and weekend didactic courses for our therapies, working with physician faculty to develop their case studies and refine content. Course responsibilities will primarily be U.S.-based, but you may work with one or more regions internationally to develop medical education programs with U.S. faculty. You will consult with clinical, RD, marketing and other cross functional partners to support clinical trial and commercial launch phases of specified products and indications. You will develop programs for virtual case observation and webinars and integrate videos and case studies into course content.

**A Day in the Life**

In this role you will collaborate with Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and internal business partners in the Clinical, Research Development, Regulatory, Office of Medical Affairs, and Marketing functions to:

Leads key initiatives in the development, execution and continual improvement of physician education programs including content development, faculty and site management, program execution and follow-up and documentation and tracking metrics

Be a key liaison to the U.S. sales leaders and provide regular updates on programming on quarterly planning calls

Develop curriculum, prepare speakers and manage programs to support customer education programs related to PAD/CLI including directional atherectomy, drug-coated balloons, and associated products.

Lead special projects as requested relating to medical affairs infrastructure and process improvement including field communication, meeting planning, digital innovation, and customer databases.

Collaborate with HCPs and key opinion leaders to identify and refine procedural best practices and integrate into training initiatives to support procedural excellence.

Develop and/or provide input into required procedural documents (such as guidelines, best practices, processes), patient selection guides, and post-implant care plans to meet safe growth goals and business needs in all global markets.

Facilitate meetings with HCPs, consultants, and internal stakeholders to optimize procedural outcomes and best practice development.

Travel to customers, hospitals, off site meetings, and congresses to stay informed of current procedural techniques and trends.

Assure all programs align with Medtronic Business Conduct Standards and Compliance.

Keep abreast of trends, leading developments and technology and implement into education programs as appropriate.

Represent the business as a key contact with physician advisors and key opinion leaders.

Cultivate strong relationships with key cross-functional team members.

Assist in the development and managing of budgets to meet company and business unit objectives.

Domestic and international travel up to 50% of time

Current travel: less than 25% of time

**Must Have: Minimum Qualifications**

Bachelors degree and 7 years experience in a training, field sales, marketing, clinical or technical role in the medical device industry and/or clinical setting (5 years with Masters Degree)

Experience developing education programs for health care professionals

Program and project management experience

Experience with peripheral procedures and clinical acumen

**Nice to Have:**

Advanced Degree

Consistent industry-related track record of success

Strong and proven track-record of team leadership and improving organizational effectiveness

Experience with atherectomy devices/directional atherectomy devices

Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with physician faculty

Passion and ability to drive and develop impactful training
