Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.


**A Day in the Life**


In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) mobility platform. Create mobile applications of the highest quality by ensuring the product meets Medtronics exacting standards. In this role, you will design and implement technology solutions that are leading edge, robust and best-in-class. You will need to work collaboratively with all parts of the business process as well as working with cross platform engineering teams.

+ Coordinate with mobility vendors as necessary to arrange all steps of solution integration

+ Work closely with Systems, Quality, Regulatory and other stakeholders to collaborate effectively and deliver robust solutions


**Execution**


+ Develop, test and maintain mobile software solutions that deliver on project technical and timing objectives

+ Assist in identifying and organizing requirements and producing specifications for mobile application projects

+ Build prototypes, frameworks, development kits and accelerator systems suitable for engineering evaluations and testing

+ Develop and execute unit tests to ensure and maintain source code quality

+ Demonstrate quality ownership and accountability through timely corrective actions and root cause analysis

+ Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other engineering artifacts, ensuring timely delivery to meet program commitments.

+ Create and maintain product documentation (requirements, specification, design, development, integration, test procedures and results)

+ Learn new skills and adopt new practices readily in order to develop innovative and low-cost products that maintain the companys technical leadership position

+ Apply and comply with the project development process as defined by the Project Manager

+ Configure mobility solution, improve mobility solution performance and use

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors or Masters degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.

+ 7+ years of software development experience with a Bachelors degree, 5+ years of software development experience with a Masters degree.


**Nice to Have**


+ Experience in the design and delivery of cross platform native mobile applications through Xamarin or associated frameworks

+ Experience in native iOS and Android, including UI development

+ Experience working in the healthcare industry and firm understanding of FDA requirements and privacy concerns

+ Detailed knowledge and extensive experience implementing Bluetooth Low Energy solutions communicating with various medical implant and wearable devices

+ Experience working with mobile analytics tools like Appcenter, firebase analytics, etc.,

+ Experience with working on Mobile automation frameworks like, Xamarin UITest, Appium, etc.,

+ Visionary and innovative thinker willing to push the limits of existing technology and implement new cutting-edge solutions

+ Knowledgeable in web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, and REST

+ Knowledgeable in server-based technologies from cloud-provider technologies from Amazon, Microsoft or Google such as orchestration, microservices, databases and/or notification services

+ Experience implementing both image and database encryption solutions

+ Proven experience with various mobile services such as location, messaging, multi-media, etc.

+ Experience with modern software engineering concepts, the software life cycle, and application software development using a variety of technologies

+ Strong team player driven by continual improvement and motivated to elevate team efficiency and quality

+ Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications
