Medtronic is searching for a passionate and talented professional to join our Sales Compensation team. In this role, you will serve as a member of the Total Rewards team and as a key business partner for the Sales organization. You will contribute to the development of Medtronics sales incentive plans, compensation analytics, reporting, and strategies. You will form strong partnerships with the Finance, Human Resources, and Sales teams on all matters regarding sales compensation, interact with various levels of management and influence employee engagement and retention through sales compensation and rewards programs. Project management, analytical, and consultation skills will be important competencies for a successful candidate. This role will focus on the Cardiovascular Portfolio.

Preferred location is Minneapolis, MN, Northridge, CA or Mansfield, MA, however, this role can sit in any Medtronic office location or work remote.

**A Day in the Life**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

+ Facilitates all aspects of sales incentive compensation programs from design and analysis to reviews, approvals and execution

+ Partners with Human Resources, Finance and Sales management to develop competitive initiatives to drive business strategies

+ Provides guidance and makes recommendations to front line managers and HR Business Partners on all compensation issues and interprets laws regulating compensation practices

+ Analyzes sales incentive performance and effectiveness

+ Develops sales compensation reporting and reviews

+ Creates and communicates sales incentive plan documents

+ Conducts surveys and studies labor markets to determine compensation trends

+ Analyzes jobs, and reviews job descriptions and specifications

+ Applies job evaluation techniques to establish equitable compensation rates within the organization as compared with rates in industry

+ Partners with Sales Compensation Administration on interpretation and administration of Sales Incentive Plans and Special Incentives

+ May prepare and deliver employee communications and training programs

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of compensation and/or finance experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience

**Nice to Have**

+ Experience supporting a Sales organization

+ Knowledge expertise in program design, communication, implementation and administration

+ Experience providing support to one or more client groups including planning activities, communication activities, program support, and problem resolution

+ Highly collaborative style, flexibility, and strong team orientation

+ Experience with mathematical, statistical or quantitative analysis techniques and tools

+ Ability to collaborate with and influence decision making at many levels within the organization

+ Strong business acumen and analytical skills

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Ability to understand the details while maintaining broader view

+ Advanced computer skills and data management/reporting systems including MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Enterprise Applications (e.g. Workday), Reporting, Workforce Analytics
