INFORMATICS (RGI), a division of MITG, offers a portfolio of innovative solutions
that spans the continuum of care. We help with early detection and treatment of
diseases, and reduce complications to accelerate recovery from patient
conditions. We focus on expanding global
access to our therapies that improve clinical outcomes for gastrointestinal
diseases and cancers, and patients with respiratory compromise.

**A Day in the Life**

Work as a member of a large multi-functional (hardware, software,
electrical, mechanical) RD team in our Respiratory Interventions business,
in the software design and development of embedded software for Medtronics
line of Respiratory Care Products.

+ Provides technical leadership to teams - Takes a leadership rolein architecture, design, development release as they pertain to softwaredesigns.

+ Responsiblefor software designs and work products on projects.

+ Implementssoftware in accordance with defined development procedures. Participates in requirementsanalysis/development.

+ Mentorssoftware developers and provides technical guidance as necessary.

+ Workswith management and development teams to establish best practices.

+ Workswith management to develop and maintain the software groups technologyroadmap.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

**Nice to Have**

+ Exceptionally qualified candidates will have aBSEE/CS or equivalent with 12+ years of experience with embedded systemsoftware design and 5+ yrs.experience developing software in a regulated industry such as medical,aerospace, defense, nuclear, etc.

+ Strong knowledge and experience with C/C++required.

+ Experience in embedded, real-time applicationsrequired.

+ Experience in hardware/software interfacing anddesign issues required.

+ Superiorwritten and verbal communication skills required

+ Knowledge of OOAD and familiarity with UMLis strongly desired.

+ Candidate should be knowledgeable and have ademonstrated experience in software engineering processes and multiple productlife cycles.

+ Candidate should have worked on successfulproduct lines that have a 5+ years history in the marketplace (preferablyinternational).

+ Requirement tracing tools such as DOORS orRequisite Pro

+ Demonstrated strength in building strongrelationships cross-functionally.
