The Cardiovascular Portfolio Group brings all of our cardiac
and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative
operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies,
products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and
patients across the globe. Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and
therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and
monitoring solutions.


We are looking for a
talented Principal Level Software Engineer for our Cardiac Rhythm and Heart
Failure (CRHF) Software division. This engineer will help us drive software
delivery as part of an agile development team.
The right person will be an application developer with technical
leadership skills in Python, Flask, Kafka, Rest APIs (experience with Swagger
is a bonus), and NOSQL databases (HBase preferred). Security and TensorFlow expertise would be
nice to have.


**Day in the Life**


+ Design and develop high integrity software formedical devices

+ Learn and understand software standards for medicaldevices

+ Design, build, and test applications,distributed computing, and high-performance computing in Global CloudInfrastructure as a Service environment

+ Join Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetingsto review product design changes

+ Support design reviews to ensure requirementshave been met and risks have been mitigated

+ Work closely with the product owner and scrummaster to complete sprint planning, actively participate in scrum ceremoniesand deliver results each sprint.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


+ B.S./B.A.in Computer Engineering/Science ortechnically related

+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, oradvanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience


**Specialized KnowledgeRequired:**


+ Hands-on experience with Big Data technologieslike Kafka, Elastic, and Hortonworks

+ Programming/testing expertise IncludingPython, Flask, or similar language

+ Experience with REST APIs (Swagger is a bonus)


**Nice to Have:**


+ Experience with NOSQL databases (HBasepreferred)

+ Experience with version control systems with Gitsuch as BitBucket or Azure DevOps

+ Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk,AppDynamics, DataDog, etc.

+ Working knowledge of securing cloud apps- use ofAWS security controls (KMS, guard duty, API GW, etc) may include threatmodeling, general vulnerability management within consumed 3 rd partycomponents, static code analysis experience, Stretch (previous pen testingexperience), use of and familiarity with OpenIDConnect/OAuth2

+ TensorFlow knowledge and experience is a bonus
