Minimally Invasive Therapies Group strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better

SURGICAL
INNOVATIONS set the standard for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) by creating
innovative surgical products and services that focus on obesity and diseases
and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, abdominal wall, pelvic
region, and the head and neck.


**A Dayin the Life**


This position is in the Boston, MA Seaport District; as the PrincipleSoftware Engineer for Simulation and
Integration you will focus on providing technical leadership to a team of
software engineers focused on developing simulators and frameworks to drive the
successful integration of the software subsystems for the surgical robotics
platform.You and your team will create
simulators to push interfaces and behavior, implementing continuous integration
automation, driving design changes to improve the product and integration
efficiency,and working
cross-functionally to improve the product.


**You will:**


+ Define the integration strategy,design, and execution.

+ Help execute sprints to completethe work.

+ Collaborate with the Development,DevOps, Verification and Hardware teams to craft solutions.

+ Develop key components of theintegration framework

+ Work collaboratively withoff-shore partners to build a complete integration suite


**Must haves: Minimum requirements** :


+ A BachelorsDegree and 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and 5 years ofrelevant experience.


**Niceto Haves:**


+ A BachelorsDegree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of relevant experience.

+ Experience providingtechnical leadership to small software teams.

+ Experiencedelivering multi-processor software systems.

+ Understand the importanceof interfaces and simulators in creating continuous integration.

+ Understandnetworking and distributed software designs.

+ UnderstandCOTS/SOUP implications when using off the shelf operating systems, middleware,and networking protocols.

+ Have a strongunderstanding of the intersection of DevOps and software integration.

+ Strong design andarchitecture skills.

+ Strong C++ skills

+ **Solidunderstanding of RTOS concepts**

+ Understanding ofDDS, UDP and other networked communication standards.

+ Experienceprogramming multiprocessor medical devices.

+ Experience withsoftware infrastructure development to support data logging, networkcommunication, process management, safety implementation, softwareinstallation, network configuration as well as working with build andcontinuous integration teams.

+ Simulinkexperience skills

+ QNX experience

+ Experience usingLinux and VMs to provide simulation infrastructure

+ Good understandingof 62304 and regulated will defined SDLC.

+ Experience in FDAregulated software delivery.


**Working Conditions:**


Standard
Office setting in South Boston.Occasional
international travel is required.
