This is a newly created opportunity to join our global Field Clinical team supporting a number of interesting clinical research studies within our Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure (CRHF) business across the APAC and Greater China region. The successful individual will be involved in clinical research across sites in the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong. This role will report to the Clinical Research Manager, who is based in the United States.


**A Day in the Life**

**_In this role, you will:_**


+ Collaborate and maintain excellent working relationships with Customers, sales colleagues, and cross-functional clinical partners to meet and ideally exceed study enrollment goals. Collaborate with cross-functional clinical partners to develop enrollment tools and study management documents through input and review.

+ Partner with regional clinical colleagues, and other Medtronic field partners, in the identification, cultivation and prioritization of study investigators/physicians.

+ Provide and evaluate technical and protocol training to Customers and Medtronic partners. Provide Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) training as needed to both Customers and Medtronic partners. Assist physicians in product application, training and troubleshooting. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols.

+ Actively disseminate clinical research evidence. Keep abreast of current literature, emerging science, technological developments and trends, and public database registrations on similar and competitive products.

+ Provide technical and Clinical Research support across different regions and geographies.

+ Train and mentor clinical staff. May coach and review the work of other employees and manage projects/processes, requiring delegation of work.

+ Communicate with internal and external customers at various levels. Represent the organization as a primary technical contact in their given region for clinical study enrollments and follow-up. Interacts with senior external personnel (frequent interaction with physician customers and Medtronic sales leaders) on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.


**Must Have Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelors degree

+ 5+ years experience in Clinical Research, hospital, engineering or medical devices

+ 5+ years experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners, customers or sales colleagues in the health care industry

+ Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross functional clinical partners, customers or sales colleagues with a successful track record in building strong relationships with physicians

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability in interacting effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as the ability to understand and convey complex technical concepts

+ Ability to travel extensively with ease (75 % of the time; national and international)


**Nice To Have**


+ Advanced degree in Engineering (BioMed/EE/Mech), Healthcare/Life Sciences, or Clinical Research Management

+ 2+ years experience in the management of clinical devices

+ 2+ years experience in a cath lab, biomedical engineering, hospital/clinic or medical sales

+ 2+ years experience directly supporting clinical research or similar experience in a medical/scientific area

+ Cardiac rhythm management device, cardiac mapping and ablation techniques training

+ Multilingual: regional language(s) like Chinese, Malay and English
