The Cardiovascular Portfolio Group brings all of our cardiac
and vascular businesses together into one cross-functional, collaborative
operating unit to employ the full breadth of our talent, technologies,
products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients
across the globe. Cardiac Rhythm Management offers devices and therapies to
treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring

This position will be responsible for leading technical
engineers who are using an agile approach to software development. Direct responsibilities include engineers on
multiple scrum teams supporting a similar product area. In this role, the functional manager will be
responsible for highlighting key talent and building both development and
succession plans. This role will also be
the single point of contact responsible for resourcing on their team, ensuring
that the team is correctly staffed with the right skillsets to deliver business
objectives. To emphasize talent
management, this role will be engaged in talent development initiatives across
the software department.

**A Day in the Life:**

+ Primary interface for HR related inquiries fromtheir team

+ Individual 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports

+ Joins department-wide staff meetings to supportfunctional activities and staffing requirements

+ Leads team meetings to ensure alignment anddelivery

+ Ensures agile software transformation topersistent teams is taking place and teams are supported

+ Develops connections with other functionalmanagers to drive process improvement and initiate other programming

+ Hosts program related team meetings, as needed,to ensure execution

+ Raises risks to ensure that

+ Interfaces with PMO and other cross-functionalstakeholders

+ Leads key talent management initiatives insupport of direct reports as well as the entire department

+ Models business acumen, supporting staffingplans and financials

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degreein engineering or technically related field

+ Minimum of 5 years of managerial or team leadership experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

**Nice to Have:**

Advanced degree and/or MBA.

Experience in the medical device industry

Direct technology leadership of enterprise software applications, IoT (Internet of Things), mobility, cloud-based architectures, information security, data warehousing strategies, global deployment strategies, data analytics and significant vendor management experience.

10+ years in a software focused roles, especially enterprise application systems

Project and program management background with a track record of leading within a large complex organization.
