The Patient Care Software team is one of the most cutting edge groups within Medtronic, defining and executing on technology and architectural strategy using skills that span a variety of domains including Mobile Apps (Android), cloud, data analytics, web services, 2d/3d visualization, machine learning, and interfacing with embedded software for management and control of interconnected medical devices.


As a Software Product Owner, you will be working with motivated, diverse, and knowledgeable development teams to deliver world-class products. You will be responsible for coordinating efforts between technology and business to drive innovationfor the next generation of Patient Care Software products, both mobile and cloud based. This role requires the ability to work as part of a team to realize complex, innovative, high reliability systems that improve the quality of life of people around the world.


**A Day in the Life**


+ Work directly with key stakeholders to understand requirements, address business and system issues

+ Convert the business requirements into actionable technical use cases and user stories.

+ Resolve conflicts in a timely manner to ensure projects stay on track.

+ Work with engineering teams using an agile development process.

+ Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and management.

+ Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle

+ Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy

+ Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories

+ Work closely with team to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI

+ Develop and manage the product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities

+ Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.


**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 4+ years of managing delivery of advanced applications for web platform or an advanced degree and 2+ years experience.


**Nice to Have**


+ Good understanding of Continuous Integration environments (Jenkins, Bamboo, ElectricCloud)

+ Experience with layered architecture, MVC, Design Patterns

+ Experience with configuration management tools and best practices (GIT, SVN, etc.).

+ Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, independent, driven individual to meet objectives.

+ Ability to multitask and prioritize while managing multiple projects and day to day responsibilities

+ Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

+ Strong attention to detail and an ability to deal with ambiguity
