**A Day in the Life**

**Corporate Communications Issue Management**

+ Understand corporate vision, strategy and directly manages corporate communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organizations reputation.

+ Develop concrete content plans to articulate value stories and take key leadership positioning of Medtronic global med-teach leader, trusted local partner, great place to work in healthcare industry and beyond.

+ Proactively shapes the companys identity through traditional and new media channels paid, earned, shared, and owned.

+ Supports senior leadership in communicating to external audiences.

+ Oversees and executes the writing, editing and approval of event scripts, speeches, key documents and reports, promotional materials, press releases, interviews, FAQs and other external communications vehicles as defined.

+ Engage and partner with external stakeholders and influencers to create reputational campaigns that meet company objectives.

+ Work with Korea leadership team and APAC/Global comms team on major media issues and crisis communications.

+ Helps lead Communications strategy and response development through issues or crisis to protect the companys reputation.

**Therapy Disease Communications**

+ Develop strategic PR Communication plans for disease/therapy/product awareness

+ Craft and pitch compelling story ideas to media; develop therapy/ industry-specific media relationships and serve as a media resource.

+ Liaison with Business on day to day basis to ensure that targeted initiatives are executed seamlessly. Write creative briefs for the media in coordination with the marketing for MDT therapies.

+ Direct the planning, preparation, and distribution of news releases relating to Medtronic therapy/product.

+ Develop, present and execute PR and social media programs.

+ Participate in developing methods of measuring the effectiveness of PR / communications programs along with other colleagues within the communications team sales/ marketing teams.

+ Manage PR agency relationships Creation of the RFPs, Contract related activities, renewals, payments, monthly reviews of the agency, plan Vs. achievement details.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree required

+ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

**Nice to Have**

+ Concentration in communication, journalism, political science, marketing or business is preferred.

+ 7+ years of experience in communications

+ Healthcare industry experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical company/agency is preferred.

**Your Profile**

+ Strategic thinking and planning skills in internal external communications

+ Cross-functional project management experience

+ Outstanding interpersonal skills to enable effective collaboration across function, business units and region.

+ Event management capabilities, including press conference, photo event, disease class, video shooting requiring strong strategic content support and cross-functional collaboration

+ Presentation, oral and written communication abilities in Korean English.

+ Influential networks and relationship with established media and stakeholders.

+ Strong understanding of digital and social media strategies and a demonstrated ability to craft and implement broad digital/social campaigns with success.


+ This job is to be based in Seoul, Korea

+ Some overseas travel may be required on short notice

+ Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
