In this exciting role as a **SrQuality Engineer** you will have responsibility for Released Product
Management and Internal Supplier Controls.


The **Restorative Therapies Group** develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care
continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence
to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver
successful patient outcomes.


**The Specialty Therapies division** of RTG offers a broad portfolio that addresses
urologic and gastrointestinal disorders, conditions of the ear,nose, and
throat, as well as stroke products


**A Day in the Life**


Responsibilities may
include the following and other duties may be assigned.


+ Develops, modifies, applies andmaintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials intopartially finished or finished materials product.

+ Collaborates with engineeringand manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

+ Devises and implements methodsand procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision andaccuracy of products and production equipment.

+ Designs or specifies inspectionand testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests;and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine theresponsibility for products or materials that do not meet requiredstandards and specifications.

+ Ensures that correctivemeasures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation iscompliant with requirements.

+ May specialize in the areas ofdesign, incoming material, production control, product evaluation andreliability, inventory control and/or research and development as theyapply to product or process quality.

+ Ensures that suppliers deliverquality parts, materials, and services.

+ Qualifies suppliers accordingto company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program inreceiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness.

+ Monitors parts from acquisitionthrough the manufacturing cycle and communicates and resolvessupplier-related problems as they occur.

+ Evaluates suppliers' internalfunctions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback inassessment of their operation.

+ Provides technical guidance andquality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout the NPDlifecycle on newly qualified parts from NPD and implementing strategiesfor driving product quality and continuous improvement, ensuring purchasedproducts and components are manufactured and qualified in accordance toapplicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customerrequirements.

+ Collaborates with ComponentEngineers to develop and deliver the Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy,Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment,and Control Plans for new products.

+ Develop and ensure properexecution of the Supplier Quality Strategy.

+ Partner with Supply Chain tointegrate strategies and ensure coordination and alignment across Sector.

+ Assist with supplierdevelopment by evaluating and developing supplier processes throughprocess and product and/or tooling validations and provide assistance,conduct supplier review and supplier training.


**Must Have: MinimumRequirements**


Bachelors
Degree in Engineering, Science or technical field with 4+ years of work
experience in Engineering and/or Quality OR Advanced degree in Engineering,
Science or technical field with 2+ years of work experience in Engineering
and/or Quality.


**Nice to Have**


+ Work experience in the FDA regulated industries(medical device, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, etc.) highly desired

+ Certified Quality Engineer, ReliabilityEngineer, or equivalent desired.

+ Project Management experience and/orcertification desired.

+ Six Sigma training and experience desired.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Cross-functionality and an effective teamplayer.

+ Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projectsand manage priorities accordingly.

+ Must be able to work in a team environment andexert influence without alienating others.

+ Spanish language fluency a plus.
