**A day in the life:**

We are looking for a talented and motivated Territory Manager with a proven track record in medical sales or background in cardiac surgery nursing to join our successful Victorian Cardiac team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will provide first-class territory management for our Cardiac Surgery portfolio across the Victorian hospital network, focusing on public and private cardiac centres.

**In this role you will:**

+ Form strong relationships across the Victorian Cardiac health network, partnering with Cardiac Surgeons, key decision makers and their staff.

+ Continue to develop our Cardiac KOL network

+ Achieve sales revenue and market share targets for the Victorian territory, by promoting defined products to key specialists and technical staff

+ Practice excellent territory management with proven time management, administration and expense planning skills

+ Ensure that the Companys agreed quality standards are maintained in regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact

+ Provide comprehensive education to customers on new products, including our new heart valve.

+ Promote a professional company image and maintain a high level of customer service

+ Contribute to the development of a strong and successful team

+ Partner with customers providing technical consultation as required

+ Formulate and activate business plans and sales strategies within the territory

+ Ensure maximum coverage of all accounts within territory geographic areas to maintain optimum level of exposure and effective time management

+ Plan and implement effective sales/product presentations to customers

+ Probe to understand and confirm customers needs, handle objections and gain commitment

+ Maintain and expand existing business and develop new business opportunities

+ Represent company at industry conferences and maximize potential by targeting specific customers to gain sales leads, and pursue opportunities to promote the companys product range

**Must have:**

+ Tertiary qualifications

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels verbally and in writing. An effective presenter and trainer.

+ Outstanding customer service - understands and delivers excellent customer service

+ Professional presentation and Presence

+ A can do attitude, strong levels of self-motivation and the ability to drive results.

+ Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

+ Strong business planning and analytical skills.

+ Strong account management, including the ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of customer base.

+ A willingness and zest for learning, especially technical information

+ Understanding of health care system requirements (outcomes research, cost, etc.)

+ Demonstrated effective matrix skills (crosses geographys and divisions)

+ The ability to work autonomously but also within a team

+ A demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic relationships and communicate concepts with key influencers

+ Previous sales experience in medical devices preferred or a previous background in cardiac surgery

+ Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.
