**Therapy Development Specialist - Embolization**

Maintain and develop Medtronics Embolisation Portfolio and Deep Venous System Stent business with existing and new customers, in line with Medtronics 5 Tenets and ethics. To meet and exceed business growth targets and execute on the strategy as defined by the Western Europe Market Development and Business Leaders

To provide full clinical case support for the embolization/deep and superficial (where relevant) portfolio focusing on complex cases and new centre/clinicians.

To work with all relevant stakeholders internally (Market Development Specialists, Marketing, Sales) and externally, from both hospital and referrers (both clinical and non-clinical) to support the development of patient referral pathways that drive access to the appropriate treatment options for both Embolization and Deep Venous.

Develop local and regional champions for Medtronics technology and identify opportunities for future business growth.

**A Day in the Life**

Identify new opportunities to expand the use of the products in the geography including new indications by products (depth), wider product adoption in accounts (breadth) and new centres

Identify all stakeholders (interventional radiology, Vascular Surgeons, lead nurses, procurement, others) and maintain regular contact with them

Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders, national societies etc and develop new local KOLs to support the growth of the therapies

Provide expert technical and clinical support for all appropriate cases and ensure all customers are trained on the use of the product portfolio

Work closely with the field sales market development team and agents to ensure alignment and effective execution of programmes

Work closely with the Marketing teams to ensure alignment in activities and timely execution of the marketing plans

Active involvement with the marketing and market development individuals for their annual planning process

Support the field sales teams or agents in complex cases where needed

Identify (or collaborate with clinical stakeholders to create) and leverage clear referral pathways internally in the hospitals to drive therapy expansion

Collaborate with ALL stakeholders (internal and external) to identify (or create) external patient referral pathways to drive appropriate patients to treatment

Work closely with local reimbursement team to ensure that all relevant Health Economic information is delivered to appropriate stakeholders

Identify and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative /economic) key opinion leaders and key referrals in all accounts.

Attend and participate in key professional congresses and events as required.

Work collaboratively across ALL business divisions where the products may be used

Record activity in CRM system as required.


Train and educate relevant hospital staff on Medtronic EV portfolio to ensure safe and appropriate used of the products.

Maintain and acquire new product, technology, market, sales tool and process knowledge.

Support training and education of internal teams were required

**Internal and administrative**

Report all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion.

Report immediately and accurately all negative customer or product related events (e.g., customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks etc) in accordance with policy

Carry out all administrative duties and all necessary reports

Attend all required regional, national and international meetings.

Use account planning tool to plan account strategies, tactics and actions in long and short term according to guidelines.

Report all customer activities and ensure updated customer information according to guidelines

**Must Haves**

o Bachelor's Degree required (preferably in science subject or Biomedical Engineering)

o English C1 (the hiring manager is not Italian)

o 4+ years experience in the medical device, preferably in Endovenous/Embolization, as Technical Support or Sales Rep with strong experience in clinically supported cases.

o Teamwork, proactivity and focus on delivering results.

o Willingness to travel intensively and proactive attitude.

o Capability to build relationships and lead conversations with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

o Self motivated, demonstrates proactive learning.

**Location:** A big Italian city from where is esasy to cover the whole country (e.g. Rome or Milan)
